Pro-Life Cupcake Day

If you walked by our table at Red Square today, you might have seen us handing out free cupcakes and wondered what all the fuss was about. Though Sunday was the official Pro-Life Cupcake Day, we celebrated it today during market-day by handing out over a hundred free cupcakes. Cupcakes, which have become part of the quintessential Georgetown diet (looking at you Baked and Wired), have a special meaning on the Hilltop today. Since Roe v. Wade, over 58 million children have been legally aborted in the United States. Today, we gave out cupcakes to remind campus that these and many more children will never celebrate their birthdays. These treats serve as a simple way to raise awareness about abortion’s devastating impact on our country and the women who live in it. Anyone who passed by in Red Square today was asked to come over, grab a cupcake, and raise any questions they had about abortion. We are always open to inquiries and civil discussions, today and any day. Every child deserves to celebrate his birthday and no one’s birthday should ever be forgotten. On this day, National Pro-Life Cupcake day, we show that we remember and care for the victims of this tragedy
